About the Cottage at Lake Lure

The cottage at Lake Lure is a rental cottage, situated along the shores of Snug Harbor Cove, an inlet off the westward branch of Lake Lure. The cottage sits on Lake Lure, affording views of the lake, Snug Harbor Cove and the surrounding mountains. More refined than a rental cabin, but cozier than a lodge, the cottage at Lake Lure is the perfect family vacation rental. This location affords the cottage wonderful views of Lake Lure and surrounding mountains, as well as a central location for easy access to shopping and dining in town and in nearby Chimney Rock. Additionaly, it is located near the community of Grey Rock at Lake Lure, the new location of the HGTV Dream Home.

Built in 1972, it was constructed using a Lindal Homes "Concord" plan. The floor plan provides a cozy setting with splendid views of Snug Harbor Cove and the main channel of Lake Lure. Unlike most cabin rentals, the cottage has central heat and air conditioning, along with natural aroma of cedar paneling with collar beams.
